As an event promoter, we understand how important it is to deliver ticket sales revenues quickly and efficiently.
Once your event wraps, getting paid for your ticket sales is a simple process. Once you have your payment method set up (which is done automatically when you sign up as an event promoter), there is nothing you as a promoter will need to do. Ticketscene processes payments on a regular schedule and gives you the flexibility to receive funds either by cheque or direct deposit. Here is everything you need to know.
When Are Payments Processed?
Payments to promoters are processed every Friday and Monday following your event.
Option 1: Getting Paid by Cheque
When you register as an event promoter with Ticketscene, your account is automatically set up to receive payment by cheque. The cheque will be mailed to you on the same day the payment is processed. The name and address used are the name and address we have on file.
If you’d prefer a faster option, you can switch to direct deposit at any time.
Option 2: Getting Paid by Direct Deposit
If your account is set up for direct deposit, the transfer will be initiated on the day the payment is processed. Taking into account the average wait times from banks and similar financial institutions, you can generally expect to see the funds in your account the following Tuesday (for Friday payments) and Wednesday (for Monday payments).
*Please note that bank holidays will push direct deposit by one business day.
How to Switch to Direct Deposit
Whether you’re currently on cheque and want to switch to direct deposit, or you need to update your existing direct deposit details, the process is the same.
You must send a completed Direct Deposit form from your bank to info@ticketscene.ca.
*Please note that a voided cheque is not accepted. The Bank, Transit, and Account numbers are not always easily distinguished on a voided cheque, which is why the completed form from your bank is required.
